TheGreat American Outdoor Showis a family-friendly event, with activities and sights for men and women, boys and girls of all ages. Among them will be a returning favorite—the Eddie Eagle Kids Zone! It has everything you might need to keep the little ones entertained with engaging activities that embrace the outdoor lifestyle. Located in the Hunting Outfitter Hall, the Kid's Zone is free of charge and open all nine days of the show.
You can expect lots of fun, interactive activities such as face painting, arts and crafts, wildlife identification, the Eddie Eagle basketball court and more. Plus, kids will have the opportunity to learn more about gun safety with Eddie Eagle and his friends—the Wing Team. You won’t want to miss out on all the fun, so stop by and enjoy with your family!

Kids Trout Pond Fishing Hall - $5 per experience
A perennial favorite with anglers young and old, the Trout Pond will once again be filled with hundreds of trout for any visitor to try their luck.
Bring your young anglers ages 7 to 15 to the Maclay Street Entrance to learn how to cast, pitch and flip a fishing rod from Pennsylvania Bass Federation volunteers, and then compete in a friendly contest. Every child participating will receive a rod and reel, and winners proceed to the PA State cast-off!
NRA Range Experience Hunting Outfitter Hall
The whole family can come together at the NRA Range Experience and enjoy learning how to shoot airsoft guns at various stations including: Airsoft Rifle, Airsoft Pistol, and a 2-Gun Range of both Airsoft Rifle and Pistol.
NRA Air Gun Range Outdoor Lifestyle Hall
Whether you're a new or experienced shooter, a kid or an adult, there's fun for everyone at the NRA Air Gun Range! With NRA Range Safety Officers on hand to provide tips and guidance all nine days of the show, the 15-meter indoor air gun range offers a ton of exciting, reactive targets like spinning metal plates, animal silhouettes and even lollipops. Bring the whole family to enjoy some range time at the Show!
Don't miss Family Fun Day at the Archery Range Hall and the chance to teach your kids how to handle a bow among the 3D Bowhunter and Spot Challenge courses. Have young archers who already have experience? They can compete, too! The Cubs class for ages 12 and under allows compound, recurve or longbow with no restriction on sights, stabilizers or style of release to shoot the course with maximum yardage or 25 yards.
The 3D Bowhunter Challenge returns to the Show with an exciting exhibition of 30-shot rounds at an assortment of 3D targets at distances up to 50 yards. And the Spot Challenge features 1 hour, 30-shot rounds at 20 yards. Watch archers shoot for fun or compete for a trophy or money!
Rock Climbing Wall Large Arena - Feb. 2-6
The rock climbing wall returns to the show this year! Swing by the Large Arena test your mettle. Kids of all ages love to climb this four-station, 24-foot rock wall. Participants are harnessed to an auto belay system and then begin their adventure. Each of the four sides offers a different skill level, from novice to expert, providing a thrilling challenge.
The high-flying canine sensation returns to the Large Arena. Anyone who thinks their four-legged companion has what it takes to compete in one, two or all three of the DockDog events is eligible to participate, and all are welcome to join the fun as spectators! Raptors Up Close Small Arena - See schedule for times
Returning favorite Raptors Up Close will be back this year! Their exciting seminars are designed for all ages, to educate and teach conservation through an entertaining demonstration with live birds of prey. Catch them in the Small Arena, or visit their booth by the Eddie Eagle Kid’s Zone to make some feathered friends!
Chainsaw Demos Large Arena - Feb. 2-6
Stop by the Large Arena and watch the chips fly as chainsaw carvers demonstrate their craft and turn wood into art. Take in the sights and sounds of chainsaws and be amazed by the realistic carvings they can produce!
The 2019 Great American Outdoor Show will take place Feb. 2-10 in Harrisburg, Pa., at the PA Farm Show Complex. Tickets for children ages 6-12 are $7 (5 and under are free).
