Eddie Eagle was invited to be part of California’s First Responders Day on Sept. 22! Created by the California state senate in 2017, First Responders Day serves as a day of thanks to active members of law enforcement, firefighters and first responder units for their hard work and bravery. The event featured a day of fun complete with special exhibits, interactive activities, one-day-only entertainment and much more.
Eddie Eagle was proud to be included amongst a multitude of fire and law enforcement agencies including Cal-Fire, San Bernardino County Fire, California Highway Patrol, San Bernardino County Sheriff, Rancho Cucamonga Police, and several others. Eddie met with children for pictures and provided safety materials, which included workbooks and DVDs to children and families in attendance spreading the word about safety and firearm accident prevention.
In addition to working with the partnering agencies, Eddie also met San Bernardino County Supervisor Janice Rutherford, San Bernardino County Sheriff John McMahon, Sen. Mike Morrell, and Attorney General Candidate Judge Steven Bailey.
These types of outreach events are a perfect way to bring communities together to learn and show appreciation to the people who work so hard to protect us all. The Eddie Eagle GunSafe Program is always honored to partner with the brave law enforcement, fire, and medical personnel who work to keep us safe.
