Eddie Eagle Wraps Up Awesome 2017

Hi there -- Eddie Eagle here! I hope your holiday season has been safe and happy so far. On behalf of the Wing Team, I would like to thank you for all your support and help in 2017! My Wing Team and I have been flying all across the country sharing our important safety message to children if they come across a gun: STOP! DON’T TOUCH. RUN AWAY. TELL A GROWN-UP! We had a great year! More than a million children received our lifesaving message on firearm accident prevention. Additionally, the program celebrated reaching over 30 million kids reached this year!



This year was a huge success and we couldn’t have done it without the help of law enforcement agencies and volunteers all across the country. The Eddie Eagle GunSafe Program sent out over 850 materials orders to law enforcement agencies this year. Additionally, 13 new Eddie Eagle mascot costumes went out to law enforcement agencies in, Arizona, California, Colorado, Georgia, North Carolina, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Tennessee, Virginia and Indiana. These agencies are very excited to promote and teach the Eddie Eagle program with the help of their new costume. On top of that, educators ordered free materials more than 250 times in 2017.
