This week we recognize Chairman Dale Emerick, volunteer of Pennsylvania’s 1stFriends of NRA.
Dale has been a part of Pennsylvania’s 1st for 16 sixteen years. With the help of his team, Dale oversees three $50,000 raffles a year, travels throughout the greater Pittsburgh area to attend gun shows, manage NRA booths, and to assist with membership efforts.
“Under Dale’s leadership, this committee has been lead to great accomplishments,” said NRA Field Representative Tom Baldridge. “It’s because of his leadership that this committee has remained in the top four in the nation throughout his time as chairman.”
When he’s not busy traveling Western Pennsylvania, Dale is deeply involved with his state fund committee where he also serves as chairman. Here he has helped formulate time saving measures that have enabled the committee to work through an astounding 200 grants in just four hours which in turn has helped an assortment of folks further their goals for the shooting sports.
Dale’s efforts don’t stop there. He also is the lead volunteer recruiter, attends at least four banquets a year, and is credited for his leadership by many Western Pennsylvania volunteers.
“In my opinion, anyone who raises $150,000 - $250,000 every year possesses the right leadership qualities,” said Baldridge. “Dale certainly is a top-notch volunteer for my area."
Dale certainly radiates the qualities of a gifted leader and is adamant to share the mission of Friends of NRA with others beyond the borders of Pennsylvania.
