This week we recognize Treasurer and Secretary Pam DeLille of the Southern Ohio Friends of NRA.
Pam has been heavily involved with Friends of NRA as a volunteer for 22 years. Over the course of two decades, she’s witnessed the benefits of this program in her community and around the country and prides herself on being a part of a team that contributes to preserving the future of the shooting sports.
Last year alone, Pam sold hundreds of banquet tickets bringing in more than $27,000, sold over 50 sponsorships equaling $25,000, raised $10,000 in pre and post-event raffles, arranged underwriting for multiple items totaling $4,400, and acquired multiple donations valued over $2,000.
“Pam’s experience with the Friends program has been instrumental to the success of this committee,” said NRA Field Representative Bryan Hoover. “Her goal is to promote and raise money for The NRA Foundation and she’s excelled in achieving both.”
She’s caring, generous, and always has a smile on her face.Pam’s also credited as an excellent leader among her team. She enjoys working with the other volunteers, especially the new ones, and helps to keep everyone on task. “She’s like a mother hen taking care of her children,” explained Hoover. “I’ve seen her motivate 6’8 gentlemen and young children alike. She’s caring, generous, and always has a smile on her face.”
Along the countless hours Pam spends with Friends of NRA, she also dedicates her time volunteering with the Ohio Outdoors Women, Refuse to be a Victim, NRA Annual Meetings, Church Food Pantry, and is an instructor with the Ohio DNR Hunter Education program.
Pam’s dedication to the mission of Friends is evident. It’s because of volunteers like her that this program is so successful and how the future remains bright for the next generation of the shooting sports.
