As fans await the two evening races, they have the chance to get real firearms training with the NRA Mobile Tactical Range Experience. Patrons will have the chance to train with real AR-15 rifles and Glock 17 pistols using Ultimate Training Munitions (UTM) simulation ammunition, all under the supervision of NRA Certified Instructors.
UTM training has been recently adopted by NRA Training programs as a accurate and reliable alternative to live ammunition. It is used by civilians, law enforcement, and military alike.
Fans are also able to get an up-close look at the #3 car, sponsored by Bass Pro Shops and NRA and driven by Austin Dillon, who enters Bristol ranked 13th in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series standings.
In addition to enjoying the mobile range, visitors can also take advantage of NRA Race Special memberships, scoring discounts on NRA memberships and receiving a free $25 Bass Pro Shops gift card with the purchase or renewal of an NRA membership. NRA’s legendary Life Memberships, normally $1,500, will be available for a mere $500 at the Bristol Motor Speedway NRA Membership kiosk.
The mobile range, next to the Bass Pro Shops booth, is free of charge and will be open until 8pm today and tomorrow Saturday, August 20 from 8am - 8pm.
“NRA members and NASCAR fans goes hand and hand,” says Nathan Judd from NRA’s Education and Training Department. “The NRA Mobile Tactical Range Experience exposes fans to NRA programs as well as real tactical training."
If you’re out at Bristol this weekend, be sure to check it out! Not at the race? Don’t worry, you can stay up to date with the NRA at Bristol Motor Speedway by following NRA Sports on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Snapchat (nra_sports).
