Volunteer of the Week: Ron Verrall

This week we recognize Chairman Ron Verrall, volunteer of 3 years with the Sonoma County, California Friends of NRA!

During his service, Ron has sold 103 banquet tickets which raised $14,795, sold 9 sponsorships totaling $9,250, acquired 9 donations valued at $3,800, and arranged for underwriting of 6 items totaling $1,500.

Ron selflessly stepped up and lead the committee to a record year. He’s also willing to volunteer for other events and activities and is a real asset to the Friends of NRA program.NRA Field Representative Dan Wilhelm shared, “Ron has stepped up for the Sonoma banquet to run meetings, improve communications, and fill whatever roles need to be filled. He’s coordinated and overseen improvements in donation solicitation, ticket sales, sponsorships, and the overall event flow. When the chairman of another committee stepped down just days before the event, Ron selflessly stepped up and lead the committee to a record year. He’s also willing to volunteer for other events and activities and is a real asset to the Friends of NRA program.

There are those that can bring cheer and calmness to any situation, people you can simply trust with tasks with minimal instruction and that is Ron. He is a wonderful leader and Friends of NRA is lucky to have the opportunity to work with him.”
