This week we recognize Chairman Jason Hawes, volunteer of 5 years with the Central Savannah River, Georgia Friends of NRA!
During his service, Jason has sold 210 banquet tickets which raised $6,500, sold 19 sponsorships totaling $7,500, acquired 9 donations valued at $8,900, and arranged for underwriting of 25 items totaling $2,300.
NRA Field Representative Neely Raper shared, “Jason spent countless hours spreading the word about the banquet, in and around the Augusta area. He exemplifies the moral fiber that defines a Friends of NRA volunteer. At events he is the first in, last out, and never asks or expects anyone to do something that he wouldn’t do or hadn’t done before."At events Jason is the first in, last out, and never asks or expects anyone to do something that he wouldn’t do or hadn’t done before.” His character and integrity are solid and he commands respect and admiration for those around him.
Jason truly leads by example and will not stop until every stone has been turned in the search for perfection. He is truly a credit to himself and the entire organization. He also volunteers to help at additional events throughout the year. He is not a person that rests on his laurels, but understands the importance of due diligence in the success of our mission. Jason strives for excellence; he brings out the best in those around him, yet remains humble throughout the process. Jason makes me a better person just by his wisdom, integrity, and strong work ethic.”
