Volunteer of the Week: Kevin and Sandy Tobin

 Our Volunteers of the Week is Chairman and Treasurer Kevin and Sandy Tobin, volunteers of 4 years of the South, North, and Metro Orange County, California Friends of NRA Friends of NRA! 

During their service, Kevin and Sandy raised $8,000 in pre and post-event raffles, acquired donated items totaling over $4,000, and marketed online ticket sales.

When asked about Kevin and Sandy, NRA Field Representative Mike Davis told us: “Kevin and Sandy Tobin epitomize the essence of team spirit in Area 36. They are team leaders for our three events in Orange Country, serving as Treasurer and Chairman. Always carrying a very positive “can do” attitude, they have been instrumental to the program’s success not only in Orange County, but also in events throughout the Area. They have proactively volunteered to help at events and always make themselves available to help with the year-end Gun-O-Rama fundraiser.

Both shooting enthusiasts themselves, Kevin and Sandy actively promote our events on the popular Calguns website as well as personally distribute event flyers within the local communities. Kevin and Sandy lead by example by developing new and create ways to energize pre event sales and event game sales. They willingly lead discussions and make presentations at the annual committee workshop, sharing their experiences with others in what worked and what didn’t in their fundraising efforts. Kevin and Sandy genuinely care about the quality, spirit, and success of the Friends of NRA program, and demonstrate this in the enthusiastic participation and leadership within Area 36.”
