The FN M249S™, a semi-automatic version of the M249 SAW light machine gun, was originally developed by FN Herstal as the FN MINIMI® and adopted by the U.S. Military in 1988. The rifle features the signature 20.5-inch FN cold hammer-forged, chrome-lined barrel and operates from a closed bolt position. Chambered in 5.56x45mm NATO, the rifle will accept both magazine and linked ammunition belt and offers a 4.0-6.5 pound trigger pull out-of-the-box.

The FNS™-9 Compact offers the same proven ergonomics and elements of the full-size FNS™ pistols but in a compact package, featuring a 3.6” barrel and snag-free controls for better concealment and faster draw. The FNS™-9C comes with two 12-round and one 17-round magazine. The slide stop lever and magazine release are all fully ambidextrous for ease of operation with either hand from any firing position. Both the slide and barrel are stainless steel and the checkered polymer frame has two interchangeable backstraps with lanyard eyelets.
