Great American Outdoor Show Raffle Winner Visits NRA Headquarters

The NRA organized a special drawing at its Great American Outdoor Show booth this year to treat three lucky winners to a VIP tour of NRA Headquarters.

The promotion was a big hit. Who wouldn't want to know what it's like at their National Rifle Association?



The first winner, Karen C. from central Pennsylvania, recently came through with her fiancé James and dined with staff at our NRA Café, received a guided tour of the NRA National Firearms Museum, and got some target practice in at the NRA Range.

“I was very excited to find out that I had won,” Karen told us.

At the NRA National Firearms Museum, senior curator and co-host of NRA Gun Gurus Phil Schreier took the couple through the nearly 700-year history of firearms with a display of 3,000 rare and beautiful firearms.

“I loved learning about the history of the NRA and how it got started,” Karen said. “And of course all the different guns used throughout history.”

At the NRA Range the two guests shot a couple pistols and an AR-15 with a NRA Range Officer and Training Counselor there to answer questions and give tips.

“Thank you for this experience,” Karen said. “We enjoyed ourselves and James definitely wants to revisit.”
