Tom McHale at Outdoor Hub just published a great piece on how our NRA Foundation helps introduce the joy of the shooting sports to young people across the country and supports their involvement through tens of millions of dollars in grants.
Just last year, NRA supporters raised more than $42 million at Friends of NRA banquets across the country; money that was distributed in grants to shooting sports organizations throughout the United States.
Recipients of NRA Foundation grants include hundreds of 4-H clubs, public and private ranges and shooting facilities, firearm accident prevention programs like Eddie Eagle GunSafe, hundreds of Boy Scout Troops, and countless high school and college shooting teams.
In its 16-year history, the NRA Foundation has made more than 35,000 grants totaling $269 million all to help pass our rich firearm traditions to the rising generation of shooters.
