In addition to helping hunters connect with outfitters all over the world to plan and live out their dream adventures, NRA Outdoors also runs several schools to help make you a better marksman. Just how popular are NRA Outdoors schools? Classes at the two facilities in Henefer, Utah and Gerrardstown, West Virginia are so popular that they're completely booked six months in advance.
With this in mind, NRA Outdoors is proud to announce the opening of a third location in Hamilin, Texas to help even more firearms enthusiasts improve their abilities.
Why Texas? "We wanted to offer a new location between our existing schools," said Director of NRA Hunter Services Peter Churchbourne.
So what can you learn at an NRA Outdoors school? From effectively engaging targets up to 1,000 yards in the Long Range School, grasping the basics of 3-Gun competition in the 3-Gun Introduction School, practicing defensive shooting in the Tactical Carbine School, and gaining critical wilderness skills in the Survival School, NRA Outdoors schools are comprehensive courses taught by world-class instructors who will work one-on-one to ensure you go home with a valuable new skill set.
All three facilities offer the full complement of classes, but each one offers unique challenges based on the area's topography. Facilities are also full service with lodging and food included in the enrollment package.
But just because the new Texas facility is opening up doesn't mean you can wait until the last minute to sign up for a class in 2016. Out of the 322 open slots for next year's schools, 121 are already filled.
Visit the NRA Outdoors website to learn more about each class, see next year's schedules, and register your spot.
