Colt sponsored barn at the Peacemaker National Training Center in West Virginia

Gerrardstown, West Virginia - There was a line this morning at the Peacemaker National Training Center's Independence Range. Apparently word of NRA's Electronic Target event had sufficiently spread to the surrounding area. With license plates ranging from as far north as Pennsylvania and as far south as South Carolina, one had to wonder what inspired these invested shooters to travel so far?

"Just came down to sight in my rifle," said George from Pennsylvania. "Luckily I brought some of my other guns. Man that was fun."

Part of what makes electronic targets fun is the fact that you don't have to wait for your results. Thanks to the handy dandy screen, provided by the ShotResponse scoring system, you can instantly see where every shot lands as soon as they hit the target. After your done, staff will print out your target and send you home record of your performance.

If this sounds like fun, and you didn't make today's trip, there's another event scheduled for September in Willamsport, Pennsylvania.

Maybe we can get a few enthusiast from New York and New Jersey to make the trip.
