Jan Raab brings us the final results of the F-Class National Championship, which was held in Camp Butner, North Carolina.

On the last day of the F-Class National Championship, there were three 15 shot matches fired at 1000 yards. In the F-Open category, it all came down to the final relay in the last match of the championship.

The match came down to Charles Ballard and Jim Murphy, who happened to be squadded side by side. At the end of the second day Jim was in second place, but he was five points behind Ballard. Jim made up that five-points deficit in the second 1000 yard match of the day, making Charles and himself enter the final match in a tie.

Both finished the intense match at the same time and immediately compared their scores to see who would come out on top. In the end Ballard was victorious, having won his second National Championship title of the year. His first win this year came from being the high F-O shooter at the Fullbore National Championship in Raton, NM back in August.

Brian Otey was a surprise third place finisher. He had the high score of the day, 441-15x, which catapulted him from 12th place to third.

In F-TR, Danny Biggs increased his lead over Jeff Rorer to win the F-TR National Championship. Earl Liebetrau, a new member of the High Power Committee, was proud to present the High Woman Trophy to his wife Karin. Michelle Gallagher was High Woman shooting F-TR in her first F Class Nationals.
